1. Accepted Payment Methods
We primarily operate within Kenya and have tailored our payment options to provide a seamless, localized checkout experience. We currently accept:
- M-Pesa (Safaricom): We offer an automated M-Pesa STK push integration at checkout for instantaneous, secure payments directly from your mobile device.
- Cash on Delivery (Limited): Cash on delivery may be offered strictly on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion, usually for high-volume corporate orders or specific designated zones in Nairobi. However, our main checkout mandates digital pre-payment.
2. Payment Security & Processing
The security of your financial information is paramount to us.
- Data Encryption: All transactions are transmitted over secure, military-grade encrypted SSL connections.
- No Stored Financial Data: We do not store your M-Pesa PIN or any banking credentials on our servers. The M-Pesa authentication happens directly on your personal mobile device infrastructure managed by Safaricom.
- Fraud Prevention: We reserve the right to delay or cancel any order if we suspect fraudulent activity or unauthorized transactions.
3. Currency and Pricing
All prices listed on the Umai Natural website are denominated in Kenyan Shillings (KES). Prices are subject to change without prior notice, but any changes will not affect orders that have already been placed and confirmed. If applicable, prices are inclusive of standard taxes unless stated otherwise at checkout.
4. Payment Failures & Pending Orders
If your M-Pesa transaction times out or fails during checkout, your order will remain in a "Pending Payment" status. You can navigate to your Account Dashboard at any time to re-initiate the payment prompt. We will hold pending orders for 24 hours before they are automatically canceled to free up inventory.
